Disappointment has become the mother of ingenuity in "Destiny 2," as one player shows the developers how to properly make new content for the game. The said player has created his own "Infinite Forest," which is already being hailed as better than the original.

After the widespread dismay at one feature of the "Curse of Osiris" downloadable content (DLC) for the first-person shooter (FPS), particularly the Infinite Forest, a user who goes by the online name Pheonise took matters to his own hands and created a new concept for the Infinite Forest.

The results were astounding, Pheonise even demonstrated in a video how he planned to make the area truly infinite, where he used the same design as the developers did for the layout of the Infinite Forest but with his own concept on how to make it fulfill its namesake. He also reportedly just did it in the short span of two days.

The video showcases Pheonise's own game engine being able to render an infinite loop of new areas which the players can explore and traverse without end. Pheonise has also explained how he did it, testing multiple generation modes for the procedurally-generated Infinite Forest. However, the YouTuber admitted that he does not blame the programmers, developers, visual and sound artists, and designers of the game. Rather, he thinks that it was the game's executives or producers causing the disappointing delivery of Infinite Forest in "Destiny 2."

The Infinite Forest, according to PC Gamer, is only infinite in its title and not in practice. What was promised by Bungie to be an endless gauntlet of content was actually just an area relegated to some of the short missions in the campaign of the DLC, where finishing one segment will take players out of the area. This has upset a lot of players since their expectations were not met, hence the popularity of Pheonise's suggestions.

So far, Bungie has not responded yet to the user video nor does it seem to plan to make amends for its disgruntled player base.
