There's no doubt "Destiny 2" is among the most highly anticipated titles in recent time. Apparently, developer Bungie has been keeping things under wraps; hence players simply have no concrete knowledge of what the game is all about. Fortunately, new details have surfaced, suggesting a closer launch date for the game.

According to Daily Star, most fans believe that Sept. 8 will be the release date for "Destiny 2." Apart from this, the studio is reportedly set to launch the game's beta sooner or later. In fact, it could possibly arrive sometime in summer this year.

The trailer for "Destiny 2" came a bit earlier this month, suggesting a new chapter for players to experience and enjoy. It defines the title as somewhat "an action shooter" that takes players to"an epic journey across the solar system. Here, they will have to defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul. And in order to save the entire humanity, all scatter heroes must reunite."

Apart from the aforementioned details, nothing specific has been disclosed. Bungie has really kept its promise to keep the curtains down for the game. Interestingly, the video game company has already confirmed May 18 as the game's big reveal. During this day, everything about it — including its core gameplay — will be unveiled.

Contrary to popular belief, the said date is indeed correct. Dave Smith of Business Insider reports that he received a package from Bungie suggesting an upcoming eventcome May 18. The package also contains a physical invitation to the upcoming event in Los Angeles, seemingly confirming such.

There are talks about "Destiny 2" introducing players to a new set of abilities. Those players will be losing all their current powers acquired from the original game. This is said to be made in order for them to gain special new powers from the sequel. However, until Bungie releases an official announcement, it is better to take all these with a grain of salt.
