'Destiny 2' Tips & Tricks: Leviathan guide and how to optimize PC controls

PC players are in for a gargantuan undertaking, as the Leviathan raid has just been made available on "Destiny 2" for the PC. To aid the players in their quest for loot and glory, a raid boss guide, as well as a control remapping guide, have been discovered for the online first-person shooter (FPS).

In order to easily overcome the raid, players will have to make sure they are properly equipped and up to scratch. A power level of 270 is recommended before taking on the Leviathan. Players can choose to enter at lower levels, but they will be the underperformer in a team of six, which is also recommended for the raid.

Afterwards, they must also ensure that their weapons are adequate for the level of the content. There is no required "silver bullet" that will make the quest easier for players, but the Exotic scout rifle, Skyburner's Oath, is actually good for the raid. This is because the gun fires solar slugs that do extra damage to Cabal and penetrate Phalanx shields. For the final boss of the raid, the rapid-fire fusion rifle Merciless, cluster-bomb rocket launcher Curtain Call, and pre-order bonus trace rifle Coldheart will all do well.

Of course, gear is only as good as the players that have them, which is why they must ensure that the keyboard shortcuts and mapping are optimal. Players are actually able to safely (via notepad) alter the "cvars" preference file for the game, which contains the key mapping for the keyboard. This will let players assign two functions to one key, which is a significant advantage. In addition to that, they can also bind controls on non-bindable keys.

A Reddit thread actually explains how to do this, and it involves rummaging through the AppData folder of Windows and copying and pasting some of the preset codes into the cvars preferences file, which the Reddit users have created for ease of use. This will let players bind Supers into other keys which may have a set function already like the reload key, etc.

With these tips, players will have a smoother Leviathan Raid experience in "Destiny 2," though the key remapping tweak is only available for PC players.
