At long last, "Destiny" players won't have to deal with the disappearing magic trick of the game that takes away heavy weapons ammo. There was a surge of complaints on various forums about the precious artillery that just keeps on vanishing for no particular reason. Heavy weapons ammunition is not easy to get because the game only offers it at a premium, so having the valuable item vanish into thin air does not really make the trouble of getting it worth it. 

Before Bungie went on to reveal its plans of eliminating the bug, the game studio iterated that they have been monitoring it. However, Sandbox engineer Jon Cable said in a recent blog update that it will be a risky move to delve into the workings of a live game like "Destiny." 

"Fixing bugs in a live game is always about managing risk.  What are the chances that the fix is going to cause an issue that might be worse than the original bug? Players outnumber our testers by factors of several thousand, so if there is a problem that slips through the cracks, it is virtually guaranteed that the community will find it. This bug was mainly risky because it was at the intersection of a lot of different systems: player profiles, investment, sandbox, perks, and weapon management," Cable explained.

According to Cable, fixing a bug is a very intricate procedure because developers will have to consider the entire structure of the game and not just that one bit that has the issue. Although the Sandbox engineer assured that eliminating the bug lessens the possibility of a new one springing up, altering the system that consists of a massive selection of weapons and armor perks could impact the game as a whole.

Nevertheless, Cable is determined to get to the bottom of the issue. However, it is unsure as to how long Bungie will be able to stamp out the annoying bug completely but a bug fix should be ready this month. In the same blog update, the game studio outlined three ways that the heavy weapon ammo can be taken away. Players who die in the game can lose the ammo as well as those who return to orbit. Lastly, bumping into a cut-scene may be another culprit.

In the meantime, players can snag glimmer and engrams in "Destiny" via a loot cave. Reddit user Pure Human Kill has stumbled into one in Venus zone. As players kill the spawning enemies, they can watch engrams shoot up unremittingly.
