'Destiny' DLC news: loot drop issues on Strikes fixed with new patch

In light of the recent release of the "Destiny: Rise of Iron" downloadable content (DLC), video game developer Bungie has finally released the hotfix 2.4.0.3 that fixed the Strike loot drop problems found in the DLC. However, before the release, the game developer did not disclose what the patch contained.

According to Game Rant, when the update was implemented, it did not only fix the loot drops from the Strikes, it also prevented Guardians from farming Omnigul in order to raise their Light level. Once players log on to play "Destiny" on either the PS4 or Xbox One, the game is automatically updated to the hotfix. It will not allow the players to take part in activities until the patch is downloaded and installed.

In this update, the Abomination Heist and Winter's Run Strike should now be able to drop loots based on the user's Light level, while the Omnigul can now only drop rewards once every Strike, and it requires it to be fully completed in order to get the additional loot options.

Also, Bungie was able to fix an issue which waived the players' Year 3 Gjallarhorn reward for completing the "Beauty in Destruction" quest, much to fans' delight.

Meanwhile, another problem seen in the game, as reported by the iTechPost, is that players noticed the scarcity of the Ghost and Artifact drops when they reach higher levels. This is the primary reason why some players' Light levels could not advance. As such, a lot of players become bored with the game, since it makes them repeat the same mission over and over again, which eats up the players' time.

Regardless, the level grind problem has been acknowledged by Bungie, but an immediate solution is not yet available for the current problem. In any case, they promised to offer alternative solutions for the problem in the near future.
