'Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves' DLC release to bring new characters, gear upgrades and social space

With the "House of Wolves" expansion, "Destiny" will be populated with new characters, new gear upgrades, and a new social space.  The highlights of what players can expect from the second DLC were shown in a teaser trailer released by game developer Bungie. But the video might have also inadvertently given viewers a quick look at the character screen, where a Guardian is shown as having a level 34 light level.

"Destiny's" level cap for light level – that is, levelling up beyond the standard level 20 for characters – initially started at level 30. However, with "Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below," the light level cap rose to 32.

This supposed level cap might not be the real deal though, as there are rumors that it could still go higher.  In a report by We Got This Covered, a Reddit user named AerobicPie73630 observed another "Destiny" gamer using a well-equipped character with a light level of 42. The player reportedly went by the name of "BungieHelp02," speculated to be a Bungie employee.

However, it should be noted that the level cap increase reports still remain as rumors until Bungie comes out with an official statement detailing the changes the upcoming expansion pack would bring.

In terms of major changes, gamers hope that the new "House of Wolves" DLC would also bring about the needed fixes to major concerns involving the first expansion. True, patches were released after the "The Dark Below" expansion, and they addressed minor glitches that were prevalent then, such as the "Forever 29" glitches, but major player concerns still remain, such as the poor loot system and item acquisition bugs that render gears obsolete.

"Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves" will be released on May 19.
