Developer Bungie is gearing up for a major update to its space-age futuristic shooter "Destiny." Celebrating its second year this month, the game is set to receive a massive new expansion pack, the third in the series. When "The Taken King" DLC rolls out on Sept. 15, Guardians and casual fans of the title are up for game-wide changes, and Bungie promises players that the expansion is so massive that it will feel and play like a whole new different game.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the end of Year One for "Destiny," Bungie has announced via its official weekly updates that the deadline for the Moments of Triumph series of challenges will be extended. Instead of the challenge ending on Sept. 9, it will now last until Sept 14 at 11:59 p.m. PDT, a minute before "The Taken King" officially rolls out.

Designed as a special reward for dedicated "Destiny" players, Guardians who complete the different missions and achievements under the Moments of Triumph challenges will receive an exclusive emblem, which is expected to become a rare item since it might get pulled down when "The Taken King" is released.

The Moments of Triumph challenge is composed of 10 different missions and achievements, ranging from the Apprentice of Light achievement by reaching level 20, to being a Crucible Gladiator by winning 100 Crucible matches. It also requires Guardians to get all the available expansions for "Destiny," since two of the achievements involve finishing both "The Dark Below" and "House of Wolves" stories.

Meanwhile, it seems all is set for the big release on Sept. 15. Bungie will be officially rolling out "The Taken King" DLC, the third expansion for the title. Introducing new items such as weapons, gears, and other items, it will open Year Two for "Destiny."
