Halloween is a special time of the year even inside the virtual world of "Destiny."

With the new Festival of the Lost event now taking place inside the game, players can take part in an occassion that looks awfully familiar to the Halloween that folks celebrate here on Earth.

As part of the festival, players will be able to see the Tower adorned in ornate decorations complete with enough accents to remind people that it is indeed paying tribute to Halloween.

Players can even up the scare factor by making their way to the Tower and listening to the haunting wails seemingly coming from spectral beings.

Tess Everis will also be offering players what appears to be a bag that is also known as the Treasures of the Lost, according to Polygon. The bag itself also contains masks that players can then use to start quests. It also appears as though specific masks will be needed to trigger certain quests, so players may want to spend some time collecting them.

Eva, another non-player character (NPC) in "Destiny," will also be offering players another bag, known as the Legacy of the Lost, that also factors into another quest.

There will also be emotes that will allow players to get into the Festival of the Lost even more.

The Festival of the Lost also introduces players to a new crucible map known as The Cathedral of Dusk. The good news here is that the new crucible map will remain in the game's rotation even after the event draws to a close, according to the Express UK.

Only players who have purchased "The Taken King" expansion pack for "Destiny" will be able to enjoy all that there is to see and experience during the Festival of the Lost.

The Festival of the Lost officially began on Oct. 26 and will end on Nov. 9.
