'Destiny' news: Iron Banner to drop on Dec. 29

An Auto Rifle gamers could win from the Iron BannerBungie

"Destiny" players can once again snag a whole host of rewards and goodies, thanks to the Iron Banner's return. The limited-time Crucible event will be held on Dec. 29 with its original mode Control.

Awaiting gamers are auto rifles, shotguns and various types of armor, which include titan, hunter, warlock and a set of good-looking PlayStation exclusive armor. Players will have to work hard to stash all those and here's how:

Available from Lord Saladin:

  • Rank 3: Boots
  • Rank 4: Helmets, Auto Rifles
  • Rank 5: Shotgun

Available as post-game drops:

  • Rank 2: Helmets
  • Rank 3: Class Items, Auto Rifles
  • Rank 4: Shotgun

On the other hand, "Destiny" players are complaining about a bug plaguing the game, particularly in the Oryx challenge where ogres being teleported to the map make it nearly impossible to dominate the mission.

As Gamerant details, this bug brings into the battlefield a Light Eater Ogre that shambles for a few seconds in its starting spawn position. Then before gamers realize it, the ogre is already at the center of the Dreadnaught, making the King's Fall challenge impossible to beat.

Without the bug, the Oryx boss fight is already very difficult to win. Add to that misplaced ogres and things just spiral out of control. As per the aforementioned site, the bug really is irking "Destiny" players.

Bungie is aware of the issue and is currently working to find a solution for it. At the moment however, gamers will have to settle for the ogre crashing the party. Gamers themselves are yet to find a way to go around the problem, even just temporarily.

Winning the Oryx challenge is a big deal because gamers can get tons of awesome loot out of it in the form of light level 320 gauntlets, chest pieces, boots, weapons and helmets.

Meanwhile, players also got the chance to score some great items with Xur once again stopping by.
