Ever since the calendar turned to 2016, "Destiny" players have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of new content for the game, but have thus far been denied, and it looks as though the wait may last just a bit longer.

Recently, the game's developer, Bungie, tweeted that the next weekly update for the game would not be issued until Jan. 21. On top of that, Bungie also revealed that the Jan. 21 update would be more of a teaser for what's coming to the game in February.

The news may not be all that pleasant for "Destiny" fans who currently do not really have anything new to enjoy inside the game, but the info does at least hint that something big is looming over the horizon.

As Game Rant pointed out, Bungie has previously indicated that significant content additions would be coming to "Destiny" in 2016 and that they may even be on the same scale as the Festival of the Lost event that players got to experience late in 2015.

February is still a few weeks away, so it figures to be quite the excruciating wait for hardcore "Destiny" players, though they don't really have a choice in the matter.

It also seems as though "Destiny" players are calling for more than just new content for the game.

According to Forbes, "Destiny" players populating the title's many fan outlets are currently united in their cry of requesting one new addition for the game and that is the ability to change the appearances of their characters.

In the game, players could only design their characters once at the start and then live with it. No feature currently available inside "Destiny" permits players to change the appearances of their characters.

It's unclear if a new character customization feature will ever be added to "Destiny," but fans have clearly indicated that they would love for that to happen soon.
