'Destiny: The Dark Below' DLC bugs and issues reported

Facebook

A day after the release of "Destiny's" DLC "The Dark Below," players already found a bug that impedes their smooth game experience. Some gamers discovered that after they purchased the expansion pack, they could no longer access the base game. According to the gamers, a timer appeared showing the downloadable content's release, which reportedly prevents them from logging in. It seems, however, that the bug is exclusive to PlayStation 4.

Gamers posted their complaints in forums and social media. The issue is isolated to those who downloaded the digital version of the new DLC as well as those who purchased "The Dark Below" DLC separately and not as part of the Season Pass. Xbox players were not affected by the said issue.

Meanwhile, some gamers are trying to resolve the problem by deleting and re-downloading the game file. PlayStation and Bungie have not commented on the issues.

On the other hand, Bungie confirmed that "The Dark Below" will transform the total game experience for players. The expansion pack comes with new content including changes in the weaponry where players can upgrade exotic weapons to make them more powerful. Moreover, the DLC features three new competitive multiplayer maps named as Pantheon, Skyshock, and The Cauldron.

"Destiny" will have two DLCs. "The Dark Below" is the first expansion pack currently available, while the "House of Wolves" will be available early next year with no exact release date yet. Game developers often release downloadbale content as a follow up on the game's launch as a form of marketing strategy and to keep gamers interested in the game.

"The Dark Below" expansion pack costs $19.99 separately, while the "Destiny" Expansion Pass costs $34.99. The DLC is available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
