'Destiny: The Taken King' expansion: New leveling to be introduced

"Destiny" will be utilizing a new kind of leveling system with the arrival of "The Taken King" expansion.

As avid "Destiny" fans know, players can get stronger in the game through getting experience points, but that was only up until level 20.

Once players reached level 20, the only way they could get stronger was with an attribute known as Light. With this attribute, they could now reach the level cap of 30. The level cap has already been raised twice since "Destiny" was first released. The first time, it was raised to level 32 as part of "The Dark Below" expansion. The second time, the level cap was raised to 34 after the arrival of the "House of Wolves" expansion, according to Polygon.

As "Destiny" players could have predicted, the level cap is rising yet again with the arrival of "The Taken King" expansion, and this time, the cap has been raised all the way up to 40, but that's not the only significant change.

Instead of still needing the armor attribute known as Light to raise their levels after they reach 20, players can now simply continue getting experience points to increase their characters' levels all the way up to the newly established cap of 40.

"The Taken King" expansion is changing a lot of the previously established systems inside "Destiny," including game elements such as loots and even the players' weapons and pieces of armor, but there is one other significant change that will likely be very noticeable.

According to IGN, there will be a new voice actor giving life to "Destiny's" Ghost.

Instead of Peter Dinklage's voice, players will now be hearing the voice of Nolan North.

North will not just be the new voice of the Ghost for the content to be introduced in "The Taken King," as all the pre-existing lines of dialogue that previously belonged to Dinklage will now feature North.

"The Taken King" expansion for "Destiny" will be available starting Sept. 15.
