Strikes will be changing along with the arrival of "The Taken King" expansion for "Destiny."

In a livestream of the Shield Brothers strike hosted by Strike Design Lead James Tsai and Bungie Community Manager David "Deej" Dague, the two outlined just a few of the changes that are being made to this component of the game.

One of the most notable changes being made to strikes inside "Destiny" is that players will now have a different experience dealing with the enemies that appear during one.

According to Tsai, the boss fights in strikes will be more interesting than before, although how exactly they will be different was not specified. Tsai added that even dealing with common enemies during strikes will be a different experience, saying encounters like those will not feel repetitive as they may have done so in the past.

Unique gear exclusive to specific kinds of strikes will also be available to "Destiny" players, providing them with more of an incentive to participate in these activities and also giving them some measure of proof in regards to what they have accomplished inside the game, according to Polygon.

In related news, more details have also been provided for the Court of Oryx mode coming in "The Taken King" expansion for "Destiny."

The first, crucial detail is that players will be required to give up a rune in order to try out Court of Oryx. Players will have to give up a specific rune that they may have bought or obtained as a loot drop in order to gain access to "The Taken King's" new Dreadnaught, which will be the actual location of Court of Oryx, according to Gamespot.

Another revelation is that the player who gives up the rune will also be the one getting the best loot drop upon completing Court of Oryx, though everyone participating will get something for their efforts.
