'Destiny' tips: A refresher course on some of the game's vital elements

The start of the new year is a good time to get into a new game, and "Destiny" is a very viable option for those players looking to engage themselves.

As with any other game, there are some components of "Destiny" that players need to learn more about in order to get the most out of their playing experience.

Express UK has provided a mini refresher course offering some important information about the fundamental elements of "Destiny," and they are worth learning about.

First off, factions are crucial components of making characters stronger inside "Destiny," mainly because of the rewards they hand out to players. The more reputation players have within a specific faction, the more rewards they can claim. The faction rewards often come as exclusive pieces of armor and weapons that can help make playing "Destiny" easier and also more enjoyable.

"Destiny" also has items known as consumables that players will definitely want to get their hands on. Consumables can help players gain more experience and even improve the rate at which they can acquire Glimmer and certain materials. Simply put, consumables are necessary elements of surviving inside "Destiny."

Thankfully, Bungie, the game's developer, has been known to give the players some assistance from time to time, and they will be doing so again this January.

Players are currently scheduled to receive 15 Motes of Light and 15 Strange Coins absolutely free from the Postmaster located inside the Tower, according to Push Square.

On top of that, a new emblem will also be distributed to players who enter the game any time between Jan. 7 and Jan. 10.

Taking advantage of these freebies is yet another way to make life easier inside "Destiny."

Lastly, Bungie has been known to hold special events every now and then. "Destiny" players need to keep a lookout for these events as they often reward players with useful items as well as strong pieces of armor and weapons.
