Last Nov. 13, gamers were unable to play "Destiny" for hours as servers went offline to give way to a scheduled maintenance. And just as Destiny developers promised, "the arrival of a series of updates planned for the next few weeks" is now at hand.  But before anything else, gamers should be reminded about "Destiny" developers' change in schedule when it comes to updates. Instead of Friday, gamers can expect weekly post updates and news every Thursday, as Playstation Lifestyle reported. 

To "deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network," another maintenance for Playstation Network is set to take place on Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT (12 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET or 17:00 to 23:00 GMT). During the six-hour timeframe, Bungie announced that the patch 1.0.3 will finally be in full swing. 

For a first, a beta version of a Voice Chat function to work on all game platforms will be integrated in the game. This new social feature will connect gamers virtually and vocally through chat in Navigation mode, for them to be able to speak with fellow gamers and even strangers in the Matchmaking. It is simply designed to make planning and strategizing much easier. 

The Iron Banner will be the hub of the downtime. Bungie is doing a major overhaul to the existing version that gamers believe is not up to snuff. The October version of the feature favored winning players with all the amount of riches, leaving whitewashed gamers quitting after having promised no reward in keeping up with a defeat. The revamped Iron Banner will now be putting coins forward to losing players to have them stick around and try over again even after a failure. Bungie has provided its patrons a helpful guide in navigating through "Destiny" with the Iron Banner 2.0 fired up. 

Furthermore, Bungie has cooked up a surprise for Expansion Pass owners. However, the developer has yet to divulge a hint or a clue to quench gamers' curiosity. 

"The details are still secured in a crate. Early next week, the information we're guarding will fly through the air with the greatest of ease. When it lands, we want there to be no doubt that this is for you, and that you'll have a chance to enjoy it first," Bungie explained via Playstation Lifestyle. 

On the official Bungie website, a dedicated page reveals that the Expansion Pass contains the "Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below" to be available on Dec. 19 and the "Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves." The bundle promises "brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer arenas, and a wealth of all new weapons, armor, and gear to earn." 

Bungie is hard at work and after tomorrow, all their tricks and surprises will be given light. So gear up.
