The winless Detroit Lions will be looking for their first win of the 2015 regular season without running back Joique Bell who has an ankle injury and is ruled out for their game against the Seattle Seahawks last Monday.

Injuries have been plaguing Bell since the preseason and now he has to deal with a hurting ankle that kept him out of the Lions' practice for the entire week, ESPN reported.

Bell has not really played well in three games this season having only 20 carries for 22 yards (1.1-yard average) and one touchdown.

But still he is a huge loss to the Lions who are only averaging 45 yards per game, which, according to ESPN, makes them the worst in that category in the National Football League (NFL).

Now that the 29-year-old running back is out, expected to step up Monday facing Seattle are rookies Ameer Abdullah and Zach Zenner.

In three games played this season, Abdullah is the leading rusher for the Lions having 21 carries for 82 yards and one touchdown while Zenner has two carries for six yards.

Along with Bell, ESPN reported that tight end Brandon Pettigrew will also be out recovering from a hamstring injury suffered in their season opener, while linebacker DeAndre Levy (hip), right guard Larry Warford, and defensive end Ezekiel Ansah are all uncertain against the Seahawks.

But the Lions are not the only ones missing an important offensive player at the running back position. The Seahawks will also be without their prized running back Marshawn Lynch who was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

Last week, Lynch was reportedly a game-time decision for the 2014 season runners-up; now, he will be missing his first game since 2011 this Monday.

The 29-year-old Seahawks running back has been struggling due to the injury; in three games played this season, he only rushed for 128 yards in 38 carries with still no touchdown scored.
