One of the most talked about aspects of "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" was its supposed feature that would enable players to basically talk their way out of boss fights, but it appears as though that rumor is false.

In an interview with Eurogamer, "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" gameplay director Patrick Fortier clarified that players can only go as far as to engage some of the key figures inside the game in a kind of debate but that is something different from a boss fight.

Instead, Fortier said that players will be able to utilize things they may have learned or items they may have obtained while they are playing the game that may ultimately help them overcome a particular boss.

Fortier went on to say that some of the human interactions players engage throughout "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" may ultimately have an impact on some of the boss fights, according to IGN.

Fortier also clarified that even though players cannot exactly talk their way out of boss fights, they can still figure out ways to end an encounter without resorting to killing their opponent. He also said that opting to go with the non-lethal approach when it comes to dealing with bosses may have an impact on the game later on.

One other issue Fortier wanted to clarify was the one about ghosting inside "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided." In the previous game from the franchise, players who chose to heavily invest in improving and enhancing their stealth skills may sometimes have had to deal with fights they may not have been prepared for. This time around, Fortier said that players will not be caught off guard anymore, and that they will benefit even more from investing in stealth skills.

More about the boss fights inside "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will be known when the game is released in the first quarter of 2016.
