'Diablo 3' patch 2.4.0 now out - what to know

At long last, the long-awaited patch 2.4.0 for "Diablo 3" is now available, and along with it are the numerous changes that players have heard about for months.

Foremost among the new additions coming in patch 2.4.0 is Greyhollow Island. Greyhollow Island will introduce players to hordes of new enemies while they attempt to explore this mysterious location seemingly steeped in pure darkness.

Players will also be able to explore two expanded zones tacked onto Leoric's Manor and The Ruins of Sescheron, according to GameSpot.

First off, players who venture deeper into Leoric's Manor will stumble upon a new location filled with treasure known as the Royal Quarters.

Players who also decide to explore The Ruins of Sescheron even further may also end up seeing the mysterious new foes lying in wait in the Eternal Woods.

As players might have expected, the new locations being added to "Diablo 3" will be adding more than just enemies, as there will also be bounties and events tied specifically to them.

Aside from those new areas, there will also be Set Dungeons added to "Diablo 3" via patch 2.4.0.

According to Kotaku, Set Dungeons are pre-generated locations based on the set items in the game. There will be 24 Set Dungeons in total, and players can unlock them by first collecting all the pieces of a specific set.

There are also changes being made to the items and character classes inside "Diablo 3."

Some of the item sets inside the game have been redesigned while some have been updated, so players need to be wary of these tweaks as they progress through "Diablo 3."

The fact that there are also additional Legendary Items being introduced to the game via patch 2.4.0 also means that players now have even more new collectibles to look for.

Minor tweaks to the game's user interface have also been made on top of the numerous other additions introduced to "Diablo 3" by patch 2.4.0.
