Battle Net

It's bee quite the wait for "Diablo 3" fans ever since patch 2.4 was first announced, but it looks like the ordeal will finally be ending soon.

Blizzard has just recently announced that patch 2.4 will finally be making its way to "Diablo 3" some time next week, Ubergizmo reported. Unfortunately, the exact date of its arrival remains unknown.

Still, news of the patch's impending arrival will be welcome to "Diablo 3" players who have been itching to get their hands on some new content.

As for what the patch itself contains, its most notable addition is arguably the new zone known as Greyhollow Island. The new area will be introducing a variety of new monsters for players to deal with on top of all the exploration they will have to carry out as well.

There will also be two new bonus areas added to "Diablo 3" via patch 2.4, according to Segment Next.

The first of the two new bonus zones is the Eternal Woods, and players can access this by traveling through the Ruins of Sescheron. Strong enemies populate this expanded part of the map, and players looking to venture forth are urged to exercise caution.

"Diablo 3" players will also be able to travel to the newly opened Royal Quarters that can be reached through Leoric's Manor. Plenty of precious items along with fierce monsters reside within the Royal Quarters, making it a muust-see location for "Diablo 3" players.

Aside from the new locations, patch 2.4 will also be introducing revisons to the Set Items available inside "Diablo 3." Many of the revisions are designed to strengthen the items in the game, so they should be welcome tweaks for the players as well.

The usual round of balance tweaks and bug fixes will also likely be included in patch 2.4.

More news about "Diablo 3" should be made available when patch 2.4 is officially released.
