Patch 2.2 for Blizzard's mega-hit title "Diablo 3" has yet to be given an official release date, but information on what it will bring to the table has been released. The game developer also gave an official demo showcasing these new updates on their Battle.net page.

One of the first new additions is the inclusion of three set-pieces for players to loot. Delsere's Magnus Opus, Wrath of the Wastes, and Unhallowed Essence will all come with the new patch and they will be just as powerful as the top-tier equipment in the game.

Seven set-pieces already in "Diablo 3" will be updated as well to include new bonuses and balance out gameplay.

Patch 2.2 will also introduce 15 new Legendary powers. The demo from Blizzard showcased two of these: one item increases the total damage dealt by the Rain of Vengeance, a Demon Hunter skill; while the other initiates Avalanche when a Barbarian uses its Ground Stomp skill.

Nephalem and the Greater Rifts will get four entirely new tilesets, all of which are based on the first three acts of "Diablo 3." Acts II to IV will also receive more than 20 new bounties, 14 of which will be the new Exploration-type bounty.

Another addition coming with Patch 2.2 are three new goblin breeds for the Hunting Goblins missions. First is the Gilded Baron, speculated to drop a ton of gold. Then there is the Insufferable Miscreant that comes with a bunch of allies for protection, and lastly, the Gelatinous Sire, a goblin that breaks into smaller goblins.

Players will also be able to carry cosmetic items like wings without them taking room in their inventory. This will be achieved through the new "cosmetics window." PC and Mac users will also discover that the patch will use a new file format for save files.
