'Diablo III' trailer showcases patch 2.4.0's Greyhollow Island

Players can now get a closer look at the new zone coming to "Diablo III" coming courtesy of patch 2.4.0.

The new zone, known as Greyhollow Island, was the main focus of a new trailer Blizzard released over the weekend, iDigital Times reported.

The new trailer indicates that Greyhollow Island is a new location miles away from Westmarch, and then it proceeds to show shots of the new zone's gloomy locales. The island is shown being hammered by waves all along its coastlines, with its mysterious forests also prominently featured in the trailer.

After showing off some of the locales that players can find in Greyhollow Island, the trailer then proceeds to display some of the terrifying creatures that inhabit the new zone.

If the trailer is any indicator, then players can look forward to varied challenges coming via the many creatures they can expect to encounter while exploring Greyhollow Island. Players are then shown engaged in combat with hordes of the creatures native to Greyhollow Island.

The trailer concludes by asking players whether or not they have what it takes to overcome the challenges of the mysterious location.

Although the new trailer previewing patch 2.4.0 coming to "Diablo III" focuses on Greyhollow Island, players should know that they can expect more additions from the upcoming content drop.

According to the official patch notes made available via Battle Net, players can also look forward to two new expanded zones being added to "Diablo III."

The first of the new zones extends from The Ruins of Sescheron and is known as the Eternal Woods. The other expanded zone, known as the Royal Quarters, can be found near Leoric's Manor.

Patch 2.4.0 will also be adding Set Dungeons as well a variety of tweaks being made to the different character classes in the game.

Blizzard has yet to announce the official release date for patch 2.4.0, although some have suggested that it could be coming to "Diablo III" before the end of the year.
