Patch 2.4 for "Diablo III" is now available in the game's public test realm, and that means players can finally try out the new features coming in this update.

Arguably the most significant additions being made by patch 2.4 are the three new locations coming to the game.

The first of the three new locations is Greyhollow Island. Greyhollow Island will be accessible only through Adventure Mode, although the new location is still worth paying a visit to, especially for those players looking for new monsters and enemies to encounter.

Two new expanded areas have been added to "Diablo III" via the latest patch, according to Battlenet.

The first expanded area, known as the Eternal Woods, lies just beyond the Ruins of Sescheron and players brave enough to pay a visit will find themselves dealing with undead entities as well as new bounties that they can claim.

The other expanded area, named the Royal Quarters, can be found just beyond Leoric's Manor, and it too will provide players with new items and enemies worth seeing.

Aside from the new locations, "Diablo III" players can also look forward to some tweaks also being made to some of the items inside the game.

For example, a new Kanai's Cube recipe will now enable players to make use of the legendary gems they have been holding on to in order to potentially create something even more powerful, according to Polygon.

Certain item sets inside "Diablo III" will also be affected by patch 2.4.

More specifically, all 24 of the class sets currently in the game will also be tweaked and the changes will show up in the latest patch. Some of the items will be strengthened while some will be weakened just a bit in order to promote better parity among the different character classes inside "Diablo III."
