"The View" co-hosts Candace Cameron Bure and Whoopi Goldberg recently had a catty exchange on the show that left audiences wondering if Bure really walked out on it after a commercial break.

According to Fox News, Goldberg was talking about the Oscars boycott of Black actors and she expressed her disappointment in the awards group's lack of diversity. "I am mad about this," she said.

Goldberg even interrupted her co-hosts several times when they tried to share their opinion, and insisted that they let her finish making her point. "The issue is, look, this happens every year..." she said. "You make a statement all year, not just once a year."

After that, she turned to Bure and said: "Well you know what, I talk about God, you gotta talk about these (expletive) movies."

The comment was not lost among fans, who took to Twitter to express their shock. "Candace was trying to move the convo along and Whoopi said, 'You talk about God every day today we're talking about movies,'" a fan said in defence of Bure.

Another adds, "Did Whoopi just say to Candace, 'I have to talk about God, so you have to talk about movies?' Whoopi is so Rude, yo."

Even Goldberg's own fans were turned off by her tirade. "Whoopi, I love ya, but that discussion about Oscar was #annoying."

To make matters worse, Bure was noticeably absent after the commercial break. Goldberg explained then that Bure had to leave because she was unwell.

"Candace hadn't been feeling well for the last couple hours so that's why I asked her if she needed some juice," she said. "We felt it would be better for her to get some rest."

Some fans weren't buying Goldberg's excuse, but the host insisted that it was true. "So you know yesterday we were having a big conversation and Candace got ill and it turned out she had the flu baby... We were sitting here and she literally lost color and we thought she was going to pass out," she said.

Bure confirmed Goldberg's statements and tweeted, "I left the show today b/c I didn't feel well, not because of the discussion. Saw the Doctor--low blood sugar & tested positive for flu."
