Earlier this year, Diplo started a feud with Taylor Swift, only to back down after the singer's fans reportedly went after him on social media. Now, the famous DJ is turning his attention on Swift's best friend, Selena Gomez, claiming that the former Disney star's relationship with EDM DJ Zedd was just a ruse to sell records and gain publicity.

Speaking to Radio.com, Diplo, 36, said that Zedd's relationship with Gomez was a distraction to the EDM DJ and that his music suffered because of it.

"I just think that he came from such a cool place, and now he's been pegged as a money-maker for a major label to do EDM," Diplo said. "But they've pegged him for that, they've marketed him, even the fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music."

In January, Zedd, 25, and Gomez, 22, were rumored to be dating when they made an appearance at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. Later that month, the "Clarity" hitmaker visited Gomez in Atlanta while she was filming "The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving" and were spotted getting cozy on more than one occasion. Although neither party has confirmed the relationship, the two would often post pictures of each other on Instagram. In a now deleted caption, the singer-actress once referred to Zedd as "the Harry to my Sally."

In February, the two released their collaborative effort, "I Want You to Know," which quickly rose to the top of the dance charts that month. And though the two have never admitted that they were dating, news of the pair breaking up was all over the Internet in April, as a source told Hollywood Life that they have chosen to remain friends and that they were still working on some new music together.

Despite what he said, Diplo insists that he isn't enemies with Zedd, saying, "He's an amazing producer and good songwriter."
