Bethesda Softworks has found a great way to help fans get by in the wait for the arrival of "Dishonored 2" this November and that is through a tie-in comic book series and a prose novel.

Titan Comics and Books will be releasing a four-part comic book series titled "Dishonored," with the first one dropping Aug. 3. Two more issues will be out September (Sept. 7 and Sept. 28) and the series will wrap up Oct. 19.

Bridging "Dishonored" and "Dishonored 2," the comic book series follows protagonist Corvo Attano, who is now "a little older and perhaps a little wiser," as per the description picked up by Newsarama.

He searches for an apprentice that will take his mantle and continue his legacy, only to be thwarted by someone from his past and a conspiracy that threatens the entire city of Dunwall.

The "Dishonored" series takes place 12 years after Corvo went after Lord Regent to stop his evil scheme. By then, he has already managed to clear his name from the murder of Empress Jessamine, but more problems await the hero.

Gordon Rennie is writing the "Dishonored" comic book series while Andrea Olimpieri and Marcelo Maiolo will be in charge of the illustrations.

A novel titled "Dishonored — The Corroded Man" will come out written by Adam Christopher will be released in September while a collected edition of the comic book series will be released on Nov. 29, more than two weeks after the official release of "Dishonored 2."

The game is a sequel to the stealth action-adventure video game released back in2012. Arkane Studios is also developing this new title. The team's co-creative director Harvey Smith admitted via Segment Next that there's a lot of pressure of making "Dishonored 2" right.

While the success of the first "Dishonored" game was definitely "a great shot in the arm" for them, Smith said that it is "terrifying" to make "Dishonored 2" because of "the possibility of disappointing people who are really invested in your world."

Smith emphasized that they are actually doing alright and are confident about "Dishonored 2," which launches Nov. 11 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
