It is already confirmed that a direct sequel to the role-playing game "Dishonored" is coming out soon. However, although "Dishonored 2" is a direct follow-up, publisher Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios assure fans that there are surprises waiting for them.

In the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine (via Games Radar), game director Harvey Smith discusses how even game testers at the studio are themselves surprised with what can happen and how gameplay flows in "Dishonored 2." Apparently, there are sides to what main characters Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano can do that the developers didn't picture when the production was ongoing.

Smith himself tested the game and used Emily's character as an example. Reportedly, in "Dishonored 2," players can string together multiple character skills and powers to cook up some unique ways to move around and accomplish things. In the case of Emily, doubling up on "Domino" and "Dopplenger" powers can assassinate multiple targets at once.

"She just assassinates it. And all three of the other guys drop. We had no idea this was possible, we never planned this. It's just one of those systemic game mechanic interactions that clever, creative players figure out as they start to experiment," Smith elaborates.

The game director adds that most of the surprising parts are discovered by players themselves.

"It's just one of those systemic game mechanic interactions that clever creative players figure out as they start to experiment, and it's why we do what we do. We absolutely love it," Smith adds.

"Dishonored 2" will release on November 11 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, prior to the release date, it is confirmed that the sequel will have major participation in Bethesda's presentation for this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. The E3 2016 show is scheduled for June 14 to 16.
