For those who are about to start playing "Divinity: Original Sin 2," it can be a little overwhelming to go through the game. Luckily, it all boils down to picking a good class.

The game is full of choices, but picking a good class and race for a player's chosen or created character is important. Since that will become the basis of all the choices that players will be making as they go through a game full of 70 or more quests, and filled with a lot more choices than before.

Yet before that, players will have to choose whether to go through the game as a pre-made character or create their own through customizations. Players can also make little adjustments should they choose a readily available character as well. Once the character is created then comes the decision of picking the right starter class.

As told by GameSpot, there are a lot of starter classes for players to choose from. First of which is the Battlemage. The Battlemage does not have a specific specialization, which makes it great for those who want to be rather flexible in their skills.

Second is the Cleric. The Cleric is skilled in healing magic, which can be advantageous when engaging in battles in the game. Having a Cleric on the team can also prove to be advantageous as well. Other than healing powers, the Cleric can also inflict some damage to opponents with their Necromancer skills.

Third is the Enchanter class. This class also makes use of magic when it comes to inflicting some damage to opponents. Enchanters channel spells that directly affect the enemies and the battlefield.

Fourth, is the Fighter class, in which the essence of their skills can have them function as tanks in the game.

Fifth is the Knights class. Unlike the Fighter class, the Knights can do more damage at a closer range than they can, and they should always be at the center of the action for a bigger impact on the enemies.

Sixth is the Conjurer Class. Conjurers are dependent on summoning in order to be able to inflict the most damage. Even though this does not leave characters in this class with a lot of options in terms of defense, they can still be able to provide more targets as a distraction.

Seventh is the Inquisitors. They are similar to Battlemages in that they are a combination of close-range combat and elemental damage.

Eighth is the Rogue Class, which relies heavily on stealth to be able to do the most damage to an enemy. They do have to depend on others to heal them and can be vulnerable if they are caught out of position.

Those are just eight out of the 37 classes that are in the game. The rest of the classes being: Metamorphs, the Ranger, Shadowblades, Wayfarers, Witches, and Wizards to name a few.
