The quest to find the 13th Doctor is on after Peter Capaldi shared his decision to no longer play the iconic character after three sensational seasons. Capaldi played the 12th Doctor in one of Britain's most iconic television series "Doctor Who." The series was first aired in 1963 and since then, many British actors have taken the role and left their own mark. Many fans are hoping to see their favorite actors to take on the role, and with that in mind, two names have appeared on the list.

The first actor added to the list is English actor, Luke Treadaway. Treadaway is reported to have caught the eyes of the "Doctor Who" production in his roles as Vincent Rattrey in Sky's hit thriller show "Fortitude" and James in "A Street Cat Named Bob."

Aside from Treadaway, British actor Sacha Dhawan is also being eyed as the next Doctor. Dhawan expressed his enthusiasm when he heard the news of being nominated for the role. He told RadioTimes, "I'd absolutely love to, I so would love to." He also added that he would bring something new to the role if he ever gets to be chosen. The British actor of Indian descent is known for his role in "Iron Fist," where he played the character Davos.

Even though the two actors have been speculated to be in the running as the next Time Lord, other names are surfacing as well. In fact, actresses are also being eyed for the titular role of the 13th Doctor. However, having a female Doctor is still being discussed.

The announcement for the 13th Doctor has yet to be made. Fans of "Doctor Who" will have to keep a close watch for now and wait for more news.
