The season 8 premiere of "Doctor Who" will be available to view in select theaters. The season 8 will debut on the big screen in 12 cities in selected theaters, according to reports.

The whole episode, including extra bonus scenes, will air on midnight of August 23 in 12 cities. Those who will miss the midnight screening can also watch it the next day as the full debut episode will hit 550 theaters in the U.S.

Now for people who won't be able to make it to the theater debut screening, you can always catch it on TV. The first episode entitled "Deep Breath" will premiere on August 23 at 8 p.m. Before and after the episode, Chris Hardwick, Nerdist.com CEO, will host a pre and post show for "Doctor Who" which will feature behind-the-scenes clips as well as guest stars from the show itself.

While the season 8 premiere is drawing closer, lead star Peter Capaldi is busy promoting the TV series.

Recently, Empire spoke with Capaldi and the doctor made some revelations about his character. Empire asked how his role is different from the past doctors. He answered, "He's more alien than he's been for a while. He doesn't quite understand human beings or really care very much about their approval."

"She knew she'd be caught if she was in danger, but this guy is a lot less human-friendly and a lot less patient. He's more removed and inaccessible. You can't quite access him in the same way," adds Capaldi. News flash, the new doctor isn't interested in flirting either.
