If there's one thing people can't say about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, it's that he isn't confident.

Trump has been known to boast about himself and his accomplishments all throughout his campaign. He even expressed the same confidence when it comes to his Christian faith, despite the fact that there are several people who are questioning his credibility.

So when he was asked recently by GQ Magazine about his chances of getting into heaven, Trump's answer was not surprising at all. GQ correspondent Chris Heath first asked if Trump believed in heaven, and he answered yes. He then asked, "Do you think you'll be going?"

"I hope so. That's what I strive for," replied Trump. When Heath asked how that is going, Trump answered back, "Pretty good."

During the same interview, Trump also suggested that he is the smartest candidate out of all the other 2016 presidential hopefuls.

"I'm very smart," said Trump. "My life has proven that I'm smart. I mean, I've had a life of success and I've had a life of victory. You know, I've had a lot of wins in my life, and I know where I'm coming from, and I know where I've been, and I know how to get the country to where people really want to see it."

Just to back up his statement, Trump even expressed willingness to take an aptitude test since it will only prove how capable he is to run the country. "Look, hey, I've had great success. I've had far more success than anybody," he said.

Trump was then asked to name a couple of business leaders turned politicians that he looks up to, but he declined because he is afraid that their past mistakes might reflect negatively on his own campaign.

"Well, I can, but I just don't want to use their name because they've also had some controversy. I mean, there are examples, but I don't want to do that because they've also had some controversy and I don't want to be dragged into their controversy — I want to start with a clean slate," said Trump.
