President Donald Trump generated mixed reactions from the public after acknowledging an article about him and his rival Hilary Clinton. Trump thanked journalist Michael Goodwin for his column titled "We're still better off with Trump than Clinton."

Trump took a quote from the column published by The New York Post and posted it on his Twitter account. "His turning out to be an enormously consequential presidency. So much so that, despite my own frustration over his missteps, there has never been a day when I wished Hillary Clinton were president. Not one. Indeed, as Trump's accomplishment accumulate, the mere thought of Clinton in the WH, doubling down on Barack Obama's failed policies, washes away any doubts that America made the right choice," he tweeted.

POTUS then concluded his post with, "Thank you Michael Goodwin." Trump actually misquoted the article by writing "consensual" rather than "consequential." He then deleted the first tweet and replaced it with the correction.

Trump's tweet then generated a number of comments from the public with some people praising the President, while others defending Clinton and Obama. One person wrote, "We didn't settle for President Trump. We WON!! Donald J Trump is the GREATEST POTUS of all time!"

Another user commented with, "You're right. America did make the right choice. We voted for #HRC (Hilary Clinton) and she WON by over 3 million votes!! You #lost Donny (Donald Trump)!!" Another netizen came to Obama's defense saying, "The difference is that Obama was elected by Americans and electoral vote. Donald Trump was elected by Putin via Electoral vote and not Americans. See?"

There are also remarks about Trump gloating and then compared him to former President Barack Obama who defeated John McCain during the 2008 Presidential election and Mitt Romney in the 2012 election.

Obama did not reply to the comments in favor and against him. Clinton nor Obama also has not addressed Trump's tweet.
