Fans will have to bid goodbye to the estate this week as "Downton Abbey" season 6 wraps up with what looks like a tear-jerking, tension-heavy and shock- laden series-ender. For the penultimate time (a Christmas special is on the way), viewers will see Mary, Edith and all other characters they came to know and love.

In the eighth and final episode, individual issues of the characters never really wane. Up to the very last installment, Mary and Edith still figure out who should they really end up with (this journey has been nothing but rocky) as they themselves try to patch things up as siblings and family.

Mary and Henry's relationship end with the latter's involvement in a car crash that struck a chord in Mary about the death of her former husband. Unwilling to subject herself to the same affliction, Mary delivers Henry a heart-wrenching breakup.

Henry, however, is expected to be back in action in the "Downton Abbey" finale and so is Bertie, who will get to enjoy much of the limelight, thanks to "a change of circumstance" as the synopsis for the final "Downton Abbey" season 6 episode teases.

This change, however, will send Edith thinking twice about confessing to him about her past. At the moment, Edith is still wrestling with letting her secret out or keeping it safe and sound. At some point, she will also again have to deal with her sister, whom she called insults last episode.

In the "Downton Abbey" finale, Mary will ask the question of whether or not she and Edith will be back to the way they were, all while trying to figure out if she herself will ever make peace with her own self.

Meanwhile, the series finale also promises to showcase Spratt's hidden talents, Mr. Molesley's first day as a teacher going awry and Mrs. Patmore in huge trouble at her bed and breakfast.

The "Downton Abbey" season 6 finale airs Nov. 8.
