"Downton Abbey" season 5 will come to a screeching halt this Sunday and the finale episode is believed to deliver a mix of emotions. The storylines are now converging and things are falling apart for some of the characters.

In episode 8, Lady Rose gets ready for her wedding as she has started making plans already. However, it won't be smooth sailing as Rose's and Atticus's families are not getting along. This building tension toward the big day might just ruin everything for the two. Could the families at least try to be civil with one another during the wedding day? Or will they just try to destroy what Rose and Atticus has?

As for Edith, she's finally successful in making an arrangement with her daughter Marigold. Only Cora knows about this arrangement. Edith and Cora now do what it takes to hide the truth, especially from Robert.

However, Lord Grantham's revelation this week may point to Marigold when Edith tells him that Marigold is a friend's child and has no one to look after her. Is this a reason Robert will believe?

Anna and Bates won't have a great episode this week. It appears that Anna is in trouble and this has something to do with the Mr. Green murder investigation. Last week, Anna and Bates wanted to move on from the investigation already. But this week, something pulls them back.

Moreover, Mrs. Patmore receives a surprise in the finale episode. She has been upset with the unveiling of the war memorial. The surprise may have something to do with that.

Meanwhile, Branson has a tough decision to make. By the end of the episode, he comes to a decision that will get everyone emotional.

Don't miss the finale episode of "Downton Abbey" season 5 this Sunday, Feb. 22. In the meantime, here is the preview of the season finale.
