"Downton Abbey" fans will soon say goodbye to the series in the United Kingdom as it's heading for its series 6's finale episode, which will air on Christmas day.

The story has so many loose ends that one might wonder how the producers will ever tie them all up.

It will all be a mystery, but fans will get a treat based on the still images ITV has given out, hinting that the show's finale will bring twists, turns, and surprises to the show.

Unreality TV shared photos of this Sunday's episode and one of them featured children seen near a graveyard playing around, which connects to the rumor that there will be a wedding happening.

In another set of photos, Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael) was spotted with her new love, Bertie (Harry Hadden-Paton) sitting at the churchyard, watching the Downton Abbey children play.

This then led to speculations that the lady might reveal then and there about her secret child, Marigold.

Another surprise that fans will be getting as the show approaches its finale is the return of actress Lily James as Lady Rose Aldridge.

The Cinderella actress may have inadvertently revealed the information that she'll be returning to the show during an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

"It was amazing going back after a break. You are just totally re-inspired by the wonder of it, that grand house against grey skies and all the friends you haven't seen in so long," the 26-year-old actress told the fashion magazine (via Telegraph).

James was last seen in the show when it aired its Christmas special last year, and for this year, she'll return on the same special episode, which will also be the last for "Downton Abbey." Rumor has it that her character returns as a pregnant Lady Rose.

"Downton Abbey" will return on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 9 p.m. GMT on ITV. The Christmas special will air on Dec. 25 and will feature the last of the Crawley household.
