'Dragon Ball Super' episode 122 spoilers: Vegeta's biggest fight ends in failure
Fans of the Japanese animated television series "Dragon Ball Super" will see the biggest fight of Vegeta in the Tournament of Power. After a hiatus, the anime will return on Jan. 7 with episode 122 wherein Vegeta will face Universe 11's Jiren.
Many fans are waiting for the face-off between Jiren and Vegeta. Others are also anticipating for Vegeta's power up to Ultra Instinct. But spoilers indicate that he will not be able to go Ultra Instinct since Jiren will defeat him.
Episode 122, titled "For One's Own Pride! Vegeta's Challenge To Be The Strongest!!," will feature Vegeta's biggest fight in the battle royal. To recall, Vegeta had been curious about Jiren and his powers. He was very keen on observing Goku's fight with the Pride Trooper. After seeing Goku go Ultra Instinct, he also tried to achieve the state. However, he was not able to do it.
According to Otakukart, Vegeta will not get Ultra Instinct because he thinks a lot. He always thinks of his next move and how he can harm the enemy. Because he thinks too much, he will find it hard to achieve the state. Aside from that, he tried to awaken Ultra Instinct by getting beaten. But he was not able to do it because he is still thinking and hoping that his body will move. With that, Vegeta will only go Ultra Instinct once he learns to stop thinking and wait for Ultra Instinct to kick in.
While fighting Jiren, Vegeta will apparently do his best. The preview of the episode shows that Vegeta will manage to hit Jiren with a punch and a kick. But this will not be enough to bring down the strongest fighter of Universe 11.
Leaked images for episode 122 show Vegeta who appears to be in a very tough fight. He is shown with a furrowed brow, gritted teeth, and a scorched uniform. It is also noted that his chest plate is chipped over his pecks. But the Saiyan Prince still looks determined to continue the fight. However, spoilers for episode 123 already revealed that Vegeta will not be able to put a decent fight with Jiren.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 122 will air on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 8 p.m. on FujiTV.
