"Dragon Ball Super" continues as the Tournament of Power commences between Universe 7 and Universe 11. The long-running anime franchise have always tempted fans with apparent victory despite harsh odds. However, it seems that this time, Gohan will actually have to prove himself that he has become stronger. This is especially since Freeza is planning to double-cross the team.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode 124 seems to imply that Gohan will have a hard time against his battle with Dyspo.

Gohan will have to "fight with his back against the wall," according to the synopsis found in the Weekly Shonen Jump anime digest. This is after suffering a "stormy, fierce attack."

The synopsis also alludes to Gohan's intention to help Freeza with the fight. However, in the course of the battle, the two become "at the mercy of Dyspo's light-speed movement." This leads many fans to speculate about Gohan's comeback strategy.

Universe 7 might have a real chance to win if only Freeza and Gohan could stop Dyspo together. After the win, Gohan could use his Saiyan form to defeat Toppo even in his "God of Destruction" state.

However, basing on the synopsis, it seems that Gohan will have a hard time, if not completely fail, winning the elimination battle. Add to this the fact that Freeza plans to double-cross them and Universe 7's chances of winning goes completely down the drain. If Gohan does defeat Dyspo, the team still has to defeat Jiren and Toppo , which is an unlikely scenario.

Perhaps it all comes down to Goku and Vegeta and how they will handle the fight against Jiren.

"Dragon Ball Super" is now in its Universal Survival story arc. It is available to watch on Crunchyroll at 7:15 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST). Adult Swim airs the English dub on Saturdays, 9:30 p.m. CST.
