Did Zamasu succeeded in killing his Master Gowasu? YouTube/Toei Animation

The quest of Son Goku and his friends to stop the evil plans of future Zamasu from killing Kai Gowasu seemed to have failed in episode 60 of "Dragon Ball Super."

According to reports, the 59th episode of the Japanese anime saga will reveal that Goku and his friends observed that the future Zamasu is wearing a pair of special earrings called Potara earrings. Since the Kais are the only ones who are allowed to possess that kind of earrings, they believed that the life of the Supreme Kai of Universe 10 is in danger.

The group will immediately head over to Universe 10 to prevent Zamasu from executing his evil plan and protect Gowasu. But based on the synopsis for episode 60, Goku and the group will not be successful in preserving the life of the Supreme Kai.

Based on the teaser for episode 59, which is slated to air on Sunday, Sept. 25, Beerus will be uncertain about Goku's claims that Zamasu could even consider killing Master Gowasu just to get the Potara since he is Zamasu's mentor. According to Beerus, he needs more evidence in order to be convinced about the speculation.

However, using Whis' magic, Beerus and Goku saw that Zamasu will give Gowasu a mysterious white snack aside from the usual cup of green tea that he often serves his master. Then, the clip showed that Gowasu suddenly collapsed and dropped his tea cup. This could mean that Zamasu might have poisoned his mentor.

The synopsis, as provided by Twitter user Herms98, for the episode that is rumored to be titled "Back to the Future: Goku Black's Identity Revealed" claimed that after Beerus discovered an evidence that Master Gowasu was murdered by the present day Zamasu, the God of Destruction is planning to destroy the evil apprentice. But despite the end of Zamasu's evil reign, Trunks still feels suspicious. This is why he will opt to investigate further bu going back to the future.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 60 is expected to air on Sunday, Oct. 2.
