'Dragon Ball Super' episode 59 and 60 spoilers: Zamasu's death teased, but it won't change the future?

Fans can expect jaw-dropping development on the Future Trunks arc in the next couple of episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" as Goku and the gang continues their bid to stop Zamasu and Goku Black.

In the previous episode, it was suggested, but not confirmed, that Zamasu used the Super Dragon Balls to create a clone of Goku after seeing how strong he was. This brings Goku Black into the picture.

A year later (he used time travel to speed up the wait), he also used the Super Dragon Balls to gain immortality, which is why he feels nothing even if he is bombarded with attacks.

According to the official synopsis for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59, Goku and the group will head to Universe 10 to warn Gowasu about Zamasu, who they suspect will kill his master to acquire the Potara earrings.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 60 is a big one, as it suggests that God of Destruction, Beerus, actually kills present Zamasu after learning that he indeed put Gowasu to death.

"With present day Zamasu destroyed, the future should be safe, but Trunks still feels uneasy, and goes back to the future to check things out," the synopsis for the episode teased.

However, Attack of the Fanboy suggested in its review of the previous episode that the death of Zamasu from the present timeline will not affect the future.

The site says that if "Dragon Ball Super" employs the concept of multiversity, it is highly likely that Zamasu from the future is still alive and well.

It remains to be seen if this will be the case after "Dragon Ball Super" episode 60, but considering how much power Zamasu has earned, he might not be that easy to bump off.

But that does not mean his immortal version in the future won't be destroyed. Bulma hinted in the previous episode that gods are not always immortal, so the heroes may still have the chance.

"Dragon Ball Super" should return to the small screen on Sept. 25 at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
