There is definitely something going on at BioWare, and reports have revealed that writers are apparently being reassigned to new projects, which could very well include the long awaited sequel to the highly popular role-playing video game "Dragon Age."

The games developer has of course been very secretive about its plans for the fourth major installment in the franchise, but new reports are suggesting that "Dragon Age 4" might actually already be in development.

A recent interview with the writer of the 2015 exploration role-playing game "Sunless Sea" revealed that BioWare had actually signed him up for a new project that he apparently cannot disclose as of the moment. Alexi Kennedy — the lead writer and co-founder of Failbetter Games — was apparently excited about the project and mentioned that he was going to be starting work very soon.

"I'll be starting in January for a six-month-plus engagement, writers are treated well at BioWare, but they're working within a clear structure," the writer explained.

"In terms of working with BioWare - [I thought] Dragon Age: the Last Court was as close as I'd ever get. I'm an indie to the lobes of my liver and BioWare don't hire freelance writers. So when they made an exception and offered me the gig, I could neither stand still nor stop swearing," Kennedy continued.

Kennedy didn't mention the specifics of the title he was going to be working on, but fans were quick to assume that it might very well be for "Dragon Age 4." Apart from the acquisition of a new writer, BioWare had also just recently asked the gaming community about their comments on a tactical game based on the "Dragon Age" franchise.

The combination of the two events certainly points to the possibility of "Dragon Age 4" being in development, but fans will likely have to wait until BioWare makes an official announcement to know for certain.
