It might be too early to think about any kind of expansion or downloadable content (DLC) for "Dragon Ball FighterZ" which was just recently released. However, the tech-savvy people would be the first ones to see anything new when going to the game's files. Coincidentally, data mines actually show progress for new characters that are not in the game yet.

Dataminer and ResetEra user TDLink was able to go around the files of the PC version only to find unused models. There were even specific characters that were found including Android 17, Broly, Bardock, Cooker, Vegito, and Zamasu. Interestingly, there are also models for Goku and Vegeta in their normal forms.

For the game to have a lot of unused models could only mean one thing: these will be used for a likely future DLC or expansion. Besides, the game right now, although having a lot of content, still lacks characters from the anime. Lastly, the characters are paired in a way that may imply that they would be released two at a time.

Aside from the characters, there are also files found for two game modes that are also not in the game. They are apparently called Z Union and Z League. As they are just game files, it is unclear how these game modes will go.

Going through the ResetEra post, a lot of users have shared their own speculations with the game. Nevertheless, the common reaction to these unearthed models and game modes is quite positive. After all, the whole game is arguably one of the best "Dragon Ball" games that have come out in recent years.

As for now, developers Bandai Namco has not confirmed anything yet. Given the recent release of the game, it may take a while before they make any announcement regarding a new DLC.
