Things are heating up in the Tournament of Powers as Goku continues his battle against Kefla in the latest episode of the Japanese anime television series "Dragon Ball Super." Episode 116 titled "Goku vs. Kefla! Super Saiyan Blue Defeated?!" will see Goku struggle against the fusion of Kale and Caulifa, Super Saiyans from Universe 6.

Potara earrings enable the two warriors to merge as Kefla, increasing their power and even overwhelming Goku with the fusion's combined strength. Having witnessed this, other universes now wonder whether they should use Potara earrings, too, as to improve their chances of winning the tournament, as per the episode synopsis from Saiyan Island.

Meanwhile, after coming to a realization that his Super Saiyan Blue form's power pales in comparison to that of Kefla, Goku slips into his Ultra Instinct power up in the upcoming installment. The synopsis describes the power achieved through the Ultra Instinct as that which even gods cannot easily obtain. Does this indicate that Goku will make easy work of Kefla in episode 116?

With the Ultra Instinct, Goku manages to evade all of Kefla's attacks and launches a fierce assault. He then finds the perfect opening to fire a Kamehameha at point-blank range. This resulted to a victory for Goku as he eliminates Kefla from the Tournament of Powers.

Episode 117 titled "Grand Love Showdown! Android vs. Universe 2" will see Goku and the aftermath of his victory against Kefla. Although he gets to stay in the tournament, his Ultra Instinct transformation caused damaging consequences. His battle against the fusion from Universe 6 made him lose all his strength.

Being weak and vulnerable, Goku is targeted by Ribrianne along with other remaining fighters from Universe 2. Just as an exposed Goku is about to experience wrath of the attackers, Android 17 and Android 18 come to his aid.

The titles of the first few episode of "Dragon Ball Super" for December have been released, but they come without their respective synopses.
