In the latest episode of the Japanese animated show "Dragon Ball Super," the beloved main protagonist Goku had a brief access to a new transformation called Ultra Instinct. Somehow, the new transformation has been reported to be unlike any of the other transformations that the characters have gone through thus far. As of now, multiple speculations are being made regarding how the Ultra Instinct form could affect the series moving forward.

In a report by IGN, the Ultra Instinct transformation could "usher in a new age" in the "Dragon Ball Super" arc. This is due to Goku's powers exceeding everyone else's expectations, especially since his movements could not be detected by even the most formidable adversaries of the extended multiverse. Furthermore, what separates the Ultra Instinct transformation from other Super Saiyan ones is the fact that it is not derived from Saiyan power.

Since the form of Ultra Instinct is not restricted to Saiyans, it is possible that other beings on Earth will be able to achieve this transformation as well – making them stronger and not underdogs anymore. This has spawned many ongoing fan theories as of now, especially in relation to Jiren's immense power. According to Blasting News, Jiren's meditation is the topic of discussion as to why he is able to amass so much power.

On top of that, since meditation's purpose is to center oneself, as well as inner peace, Jiren is able to fight in a calmer manner compared to the other characters in the "Dragon Ball Super" series – most of which gain power depending on their emotional state. Meditation is also a key element in which Jiren is able to keep his focus in any type of battle situation. Perhaps, it is through Jiren's example that Goku was able to unlock the Ultra Instinct form.

For the 112th episode of "Dragon Ball Super," Vegeta will be facing Cabba. The episode will air on Crunchy Roll on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8:15 p.m. EDT.
