Gohan will train with Piccolo in episode 88 of "Dragon Ball Super."

In episode 87 of the anime, Goku was finally able to convince Android 17 to join his team. For several episodes now, the saiyan has been looking for members to form his team that will compete in the Tournament of Power.

Initially, Android 17 did not want to participate since he had decided to lead a quiet life as a park ranger. However, a huge spaceship with Galactic poachers came and threatened to kidnap the animals so they can use them for experiment to achieve immortality. With this, he and Goku teamed up to defeat the enemies. In the end, Android 17 decided to join Goku's team.

In episode 88 of "Dragon Ball Super," the team members will start to train, particularly Gohan and Piccolo. Gohan has been busy juggling his responsibilities as a father, husband, and scholar. With this, his fighting skills are not as good as it was when he was younger. However, since the enemies in the Tournament of Power are strong, he has to double-time to catch up.

The translated synopsis for the upcoming episode indicates, "It's essential for Gohan to make a comeback in order for Universe 7 to claim victory at the Tournament of Power! His martial arts master Piccolo aims to sharpen Gohan's faded skills through one-on-one training, and tries to bring even more power out of him than he had in the past. And the result is...?!"

Goku is quite comfortable with the setup, especially after admitting that he only trusts Piccolo with Gohan's training. Will Gohan be able to level up his skills in time for the battle?

Meanwhile, a mysterious character named Yurin is said to appear in episode 89 of the anime. At the moment, it is still uncertain whether she is there as a friend or a foe to Goku.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 88 airs on Sunday, April 30, while episode 89 airs on May 7.
