'Dragon Ball Super' spoilers: Episodes 43 and 44 expected to see battle between Goku and Vegeta; Trunks coming to series

Toei Animation

"Dragon Ball Super" has just a few more episodes before its current series ends and fans can't help but wonder, what will happen next after episode 42. It is rumored that Goku and Vegeta may face off before the series ends, Future Trunks will join in by the next series in June.

The last episode was a surprise for the fans when Goku fought Monaka. Fans were expecting that Goku would have a hard time defeating Monaka because it was Beerus who had personally handpicked the fighter for being the "strongest" warrior in his universe. This happened to be a trick by the God of Destruction, who just wanted to entice Goku and Vegeta to train harder.

The upcoming episoe 43 is titled "Goku's 'Ki' is Out of Control?! Looking After Pan is A Lot of Trouble," will air on May 15. It will show Goku suffering from "Late-onset turbulent Ki syndrome," which puts him in a situation where he cannot control his Ki anymore. Thus, without his Ki, he won't be able to teleport and leave Kaio's planet. Goku ended up staying with his son Gohan.

GameNGuide shared the synopsis, which says, "Goku is unable even to teleport back from Kaio's planet properly, and wrecks his house as a result. Until his house is repaired, Goku is stuck living with his son, Gohan. Goku looks after his granddaughter Pa, but a suspicious shadow stealthily approaches."

The next one, episode 44, is called "The Seal of Planet Potaufeu, Secret of the Unleashed Superhuman Water," and will feature the true character of Monaka. He and Goku will fight together against the Universe 7 team.

The episode synopsis, according to Yibada, reads: "While Monaka had fought alongside Goku and the others as part of the Universe 7 team, in truth he is simply a deliveryman for a shipping company. One day, Monaka comes to deliver something to Bulma's place, but Bulma corrals him into helping out with her latest experiment. Meanwhile, Bulma's son Trunks and Goku's son Goten play around in the luggage carrier in Monaka's spaceship, but eventually fall asleep. When Monaka gets back, he sets off in his spaceship, unaware that the two are inside...?"

The report also mentioned that Goku and Vegeta will fight each other in the first part of the episode which will air on May 22.

Forbes also reported that a character from the original "Dragon Ball" series will be joining "Dragon Ball Super." Trunks, the son of Vegeta and Bulma, will debut on June 12.
