"Dragon Ball Super" recently wrapped up its 26th episode, highlighting the battle between Son Goku and Frieza and things even get more intense in the next episode.

The last time fans saw Goku, he was in a bad shape, and according to the next episode's preview, he isn't getting any better. Goku even admitted that he got way too confident that he'll be able to defeat Frieza.

He then let Vegeta step in to take the fight with his new form the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. In the trailer, Vegeta was seen to have the upper hand as he was able to protect himself from Frieza's power while he's coming toward him.

But then again, Frieza was able to unleash his power, putting all of Earth in great danger.

The coming episode 27, which bears the suggestive title, "Earth Explodes?! The Decisive Kamehameha Wave," will air on Jan. 17 and is said to pave way for the Champa arc.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the beginning of the Champa saga will start on episode 28, bringing a whole new arc and content to the entire series.

This new arc will also feature the battle between two teams and its members. Team Champa will be composed of Frost, Botamo, Magetta, Hitto, and Kyabe. Photos of the new characters forming Team Champa were posted in Gojiitaff.

Meanwhile, Team Champa will go head-to-head with Team Beerus composed of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Majin Buu. Not much has been revealed about the upcoming episode, but it is speculated that Piccolo will have his power increased to prepare him for the tournament.

MoviePilot mentioned that the character had received special training before the beginning of the Champa arc. How powerful Piccolo will be in the tournament is also one of the things that his fans should look forward to in the coming episodes.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 27 will air on Sunday, Jan. 17.
