Following the success of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse," many fans speculated that the developers will work immediately on a sequel. However, Bandai Namco has yet to make any official statement regarding a sequel. Sean Schemmel, the voice actor for Son Goku, finally reveals that a sequel may indeed be on the way.

The actor leaked the potential existence of a sequel during this year's Optimus Bristol Comic Convention held in the United Kingdom. During the panel he explained that he got wind of a new game coming out from Chris Sabat, the voice actor for Vegeta and the producer for the English dub of the "Dragon Ball Z" anime series. 

"I do think there is going to be," he stated. "I can't confirm it yet but Chris called me and said there's gonna be a game coming out, I'm thinking there's going to be some DLC or maybe another 'Xenoverse' game I wouldn't be surprised. 'Xenoverse' was so successful the publishing company would be stupid not to make another one just for the sake of the money."

According to a report from Saiyan Island, it is important to note that there is another "Dragon Ball Z" game scheduled to release, titled "Dragon Ball Fusions." However, this game is being developed for the Nintendo 3DS and it is speculated that even if the game is ported to the West, it would retain its Japanese voice cast.

If "Dragon Ball Fusions" keeps its Japanese voice cast then the only other project that would involve Sabat and Schemmel would be a new console game. This would either be a DLC package for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" or a full-pledged sequel that would have a new roster of characters, a new story and new features. 

Rumors of a sequel arose as early as February when reports revealed a leaked image of what many believe to be a Start Menu for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" although many state that the image is likely an elaborate hoax.
