Bandai Namco revealed that a companion manga will be released alongside "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" days before the game arrives on the market.

A report from Attack of the Fanboy stated that the Collector's Edition of the "Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2" will be released with a new artbook with an exclusive manga called the "Time Patroller's Guide."

Meanwhile, the Facebook page of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" announced that an open beta for the PlayStation 4 game will go live on Friday, Oct. 14. While the details for the open beta remains under wraps, the game studio handpicked several individuals to join the closed beta that started on Oct. 8 and ended on Oct. 10.

On the closed beta, five types of races had been introduced in the Character Creator feature of the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." It includes the Earthlings, the Frieza race, the Namekians, the Majins, and the Saiyans.

According to Siliconera, the Earthlings possess balanced stats that automatically regenerate Ki and helps launch an attack that can rise when maxed. The members of the Frieza race, on the other hand, can move quickly, and they come with stamina that regrows as they attack. Meanwhile, the Majins possess high defense, but they have slow stamina recovery.

On the other hand, the Namekian's high health regenerates when they start to drop, and they have low attack stats. The Saiyans, however, have high attack stats that increase when their health drops.

The exclusive PlayStation 4 open beta for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will last until Monday, Oct. 17.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be officially released worldwide on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC starting Oct. 25. But the game will only have a PlayStation 4 version upon its release in Japan. The upcoming game will reportedly feature more characters compared to its predecessor since it will come out with 87 characters compared to "Dragon Ball Xenoverse," which only has 47 characters.

The game will also feature a guest appearance and several musical pieces from the popular DJ Steve Aoki.
