'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date news: New trailer features new transformation for Nameks

Bandai Namco

With the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game to be released by Oct. 25, fans are now just patiently waiting for more teasers as its release date approaches.

According to Game N Guide, a lot of reports state that Black Goku will become one of the characters in this game, with this "Dragon Ball Super" super villain revealed to be one of the characters that will come as pre-order bonuses. Regardless, the same article points out that the Black Goku transformation is speculated to be featured in this game, with Bandai Namco hinting at this villain's new look on a Japan-exclusive candy.

Despite this, those who religiously watch "Dragon Ball Super" know that Black Goku is not, in fact, a Saiyan. Fans agree that this villain is considered as a powerful supernatural created by Beerus, after he brought the Universe 6 back to life. As such, fans are all the more curious about how Black Goku will transform in the upcoming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game.

Furthermore, the newest game trailer teases more things fans can expect. The trailer mainly focuses on the way user-created characters will affect gameplay, and unlike other games that do not have anything much to offer in terms of player involvement, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" seeks to change that and involve players more.

Also, the trailer provided fans with an exclusive look at the newest transformation as well, showing a giant Namekian known as the Great Namek from some of the other "Dragon Ball" titles. It was said that the power of this form is comparable to a Super Saiyan's. This form was last seen in a Japan- and Korea-exclusive "Dragon Ball" online game.

Additionally, the newest items to be revealed include the Power-Pole and the Nimbus Cloud, but according to Ecumenical News, this reveal is still unconfirmed.
