'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date news, updates: Game arrives this month; Deluxe Edition features four DLC packs

The awaited fighting role-playing game based on the "Dragon Ball" franchise will be launching this October. "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will have a Deluxe Edition with four jam-packed sets of downloadable content (DLC).

Bandai Namco Entertainment will be releasing "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" on Oct. 25. The game created by Dimps has sparked a big buzz in the gaming community because it is an adaptation of the famous "Dragon Ball" franchise.

A trailer for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" was released by Bandai Namco recently, revealing a new playable character. This new character is Hit, the assassin originating from Universe 6 of "Dragon Ball Super."

According to iDigitalTimes, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature many characters from the "Dragon Ball Super" series, which include Frost and Kyabe.

The famous villain – Black Goku – will also be available in the game as revealed by Bandai Namco in one of the trailers. But Black Goku will only be available in the game if the players have pre-ordered the title. Along with Black Goku, the pre-ordered game will also come with the Tao Pai Pai log, which will allow players to travel in the overworld.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will also have a Deluxe Edition that will surely satisfy the gaming fans of "Dragon Ball." The Deluxe Edition will include a Season Pass that contains four downloadable content packs of additional characters, several missions including master missions, character costumes, and accessories.

Aside from the Season Pass, the Deluxe Edition also contains a Collector's Edition of a Goku statue, a Time Patroller's Guide, a soundtrack CD, and a steelbox.

"Xenoverse 2" is anticipated to have advanced character fighting and wider customization variety as compared to its predecessor. Unlike in the first installment, Saiyan characters can transform into Super Saiyan 3, along with Namekians and Buu characters being able to transform into Supers as well.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
