"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" players were given a treat over the weekend as game developer Dimps, together with publisher Bandai Namco, rolled out the so-called Janemba Raid Quest. The game mode, which was released for a limited time, gave players the chance to level up their characters at a faster rate and allowed for the acquisition of items that are essential in playing the game.

The game event that lasted for only eight hours allowed players battle the monster-looking Janemba provided that they reached the requisite level of 99. After conquering the said monster, gamers were rewarded with a specific amount of TP medals depending what type of game went into play. Apart from this, players who inflicted a specific amount of damage towards Janemba were also rewarded with a corresponding item to add more spunk to the player's chosen character.

Reports suggest that if players were successful in connecting at least 50,000 points worth of damage to the red-skinned demon, they would be given Janemba's double-edged sword as their prize.

Some "Dragon Ball" fans revealed that they were definitely challenged in attaining the said damage mark as other gamers claim that the required feat was difficult to accomplish. Furthermore, it's also noteworthy that fans noticed that opponents in the newly released quest were buffed up a bit making them harder to defeat.

For those who are unaware, Janemba is the villain in one of the feature films of "Dragon Ball Z" dubbed "Fusion Reborn." In the said movie, the character took on a couple of forms in which his second form was the one featured in the recently concluded game event.

Now that the Janemba Raid Quest is done, fans can anticipate future updates and more new content for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." The game is playable on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
